A Brainiac Lives Here….Well Done Alex!!

I have resisted for as long as I can. I have resisted because I don’t want to be one of those mothers who brags about her children’s accomplishments, but alas, I guess am one of those mother’s

. I can’t fight it any more. Please forgive me, world.

We had the parent evening last night meeting Alex’s new teacher for the first time to discuss how he is getting on.. Ok I know her to talk to but this is the first discussion about his work in year 2

And Im so proud.  In her words His reading is up there with high school kids.. His maths is good, Infact she had nothing bad to say at all,  The only criticism she could come up with if she had to (again her words) is that If his handwriting was neater it would be better although its still  the neatest in her class it’s just that because he is so far ahead of the rest of the kids with everything else she would love to see his handwriting up there in the high school bracket as well but she is more than happy with his writing for a 6 yr old  . ha ha poor kid… high expectations.

I did warn her that I may be able to type over 120 words a min (yes I’ve been timed. years of typing for a living) My handwriting is atrocious and so is his fathers …

I am unreasonably proud of her.

Is that a sin?

Seriously you would look at anything I have written and it looks like a spider has dipped all its legs in ink and run across the page.

Ali is on full days at school now and this week wanted packed lunches the same as Alex.. wonder how long that will last.

We have a Tammy Free weekend this weekend.. but have Amber and Mary here

To be honest Tammy had a face like a smacked arse all weekend and was in a right strop.. all because she couldn’t have her own way…

next time she is here is Halloween weekend. (update she didn’t come Halloween weekend  probably because she had been in trouble at school again and I bet she know we would moan)

Come on and do the Bump

I’m really pissed off today.  I trashed the car on the way to get Tammy for her weekend visit

Technically, legally and in theory it was my fault….. 😦

I was coming off the M2 at the Faversham exit on my way to pick Tammy up from school and the road (Faversham road for those who know the area) was clear in front we had both stopped.. the woman in front of me went to pull out into the clear road and then stopped dead WTF… still nothing coming so fuck knows why she stopped if it was manual i would say the stupid cow had hit the wrong pedal and hit the brake instead of the clutch
(erm been there done that in opposite. hit the clutch instead of the brake years and years ago in my defence though i was used to driving auto’s at the time)

result is no damage at all on her car but my headlight is poshed still lights up though lol and the bumper is bent a little . good whack with a hammer and the numberplate is cracked. Im fully comp but it will probably be better to fix it myself than claim as i would lose years worth of no claims bonus and by the time I’ve paid the excess it wouldn’t be worth it.. I’m just fuming as I’ve not hit anything in years and years.

The worse thing is the old cow will probably claim whiplash even though there wasn’t a mark on her car.. 😡

bang there will go my no claims bonus.  :(

you will never guess what…

We had a visitor last night.. Amberleigh came round with her friend and asked if she and Mary could stay the weekend of half term.  now Tammy has already said she only wants to come once a fortnight now. so back to how it used to be.. (think that is because I actually make her do her homework and because I shouted at her for letting the dog out) ha ha   so we have Tammy with us this weekend and Amber and Mary next weekend.   One day we will have the house and weekend to ourselves ha ha

Ali has started school now…  his first full time day is Monday the 18th but so far he loves it..  and so do I.. will appreciate it more though when he is gone for 6 hours.  will i miss my baby or will i thrive on having “me” time again … this having kids over a 26 yr time span is getting to me, for the first time in my life  I can honestly say I don’t want anymore kids.. how weird.

More good news… Allan has taken the theory test hazard test and some other one for the HGV driving and passed all three with flying colours. so he is now on his way to being a trucker… next stop is taking the driving course. which is booked in for November.. he has to do the lorry bigger than the 7.5 tonne first.. and then once he has passed that he is on his way to driving the artic’s .   I was a bit pissed off  though with Tammy. she has seen her dad with his head in the books for the last few weeks and when i text-ed her to say he had passed she didn’t even say a well done etc.. I am getting very fed up with this where are we going, what have you got me attitude she has.   she is on report all week for not behaving at school and still expects us to take her out this weekend to spend some of her birthday money well. sorry young lady but in this house it don’t work that way  you behave at school and you get treats or we go out somewhere. Now If I had my way she wouldn’t leave the house at all this weekend  the only problem is I have promised the boys that we will go looking up the park to see if there are any conkers around now, missed the boat a bit here as the conker season was early according to this link

Home Alone!!

It’s a really weird feeling… Ali has started school…. He goes mornings at the moment but on the 18th October he will start full-time… I know he went to playgroup and he was gone longer than he is now but its different somehow.  And Yes I do miss him.  But I don’t have that empty buggy syndrome that I’ve always had in the past…   I feel relieved.. My baby has started school, My baby is growing up  and I don’t even feel guilty.. he is enjoying it so much..

Not a lot has been going on really, Debbie and I have started the secret santa again this year.. not many entered though but there were 30 altogether. plus  I have made a start on the Christmas shopping..  This year I’m going to be mega organised ha ha   I’m also not going to go mad..  The “Me” for the house,  present I want this year is a new table and chairs. but it will have to be the butterfly set again.. seen a nice chocolate-brown set with padded chairs but need to save up a bit first.

It was Tammy’s 14th  Birthday yesterday well the 4th we sent her off to school with lots of bits including a designer bag amongst other things oh and I made a cake…..  and we had a visit from Amber  honoured lol of course she wanted something ha ha .

My dad is driving me crazy… it seems every thing he does annoys me… and he seems to have no regard for anyone else.  He will park across drive ways…  (my pet hate) and oh boy does he stink… now I know he buys deodorants… I know He washes his clothes and I’m presuming he showers as he buys shower gel but how the hell do you tell him that he stinks the house out..    BO… should stand for Bugger Off….
