A to Z of Our Facebook Friends Lists

facebook-friends-ftr

Am I the only one or do we all have at least one person on our friends list who falls into the following groups.

Group A
This person is constantly ill or tired and will tell us not once but maybe several times a day.
Group B
This person is constantly telling us all how we are destroying our planet and should boycott this and that. But will drive miles and miles to go on holiday or to events.
Group C
This person is paranoid and convinced everything is a government conspiracy and even questions that clouds are real and not mass gases of biochemicals.
Group D
This person is paranoid and must count their friends list every day because they notice each and every person missing and post questioning what they have or haven’t done to cause this unfriend.
Group E
This person is constantly posting every day how pissed off they are, why won’t people leave them alone, how their family or anyone else is having a go at them.
Group F
This person is an attention seeker constantly threatening to either cull their friends list or deactivate their account in the hope they are begged not to do either.
Group G
This person tells you what they are having for every meal (Generally with photographic evidence).
Group H
This person will tell you each and every personal detail of what’s going on in their life, right down to monthly bodily functions.
Group I
This person will post what a bastard their partner is one day and then after getting the much sought after attention will delete the post only to post the most lovey dovey post about their partner the next day.
Group J
This person is another attention seeker who will post something short and sweet like I give up, of course again relishing in the attention asking why.
Group K
This person (maybe one of the most annoying in a way) will post one word and ignore every request for explanation or just give a cryptic clue which no one will get.
Group L
This person tells everyone how they have found the love of their life and constantly berates their ex and how this ex-wants to see the child he has fathered, on a monthly basis. The thing is there are usually at least 3 plus fathers and a new love of their life every month.
Group M
This person is a proud mummy, now I’m not talking about the one who posts about a special achievement or report card proud. I’m talking about the parent who posts every day how clever her child is.
Group N
This person is the one whose status you can’t actually read or understand what they have said because they either can hardly read or write or use so much text speak you need a directory to know what it all means.
Group O
This person doesn’t actually post status updates just checks in everywhere they are right down to the public loo in the town.
Group P
Following on from group O this person is the one who gives you an in-depth description of every bodily function including size and consistency of every bowel movement at least twice a week.
Group Q
This person tags you in everything they see, be it an advert on a selling group or some article on the Daily Fail page even though you are not interested.
Group R
This person sends you game requests for every game they play without fail knowing full well you don’t play the games.
Group S
This person is like the person in group R only they add you to groups so everytime you open up your email account you find 2000 notifications for groups you never even knew you were a member of.
Group T
This person will post on your timeline and if you haven’t clicked like or commented on it within ten mins deletes it. Leaving you with just a notification and wondering what the hell they posted.
Group U
This person is someone who you actually wonder how the hell got on your friends list, you have no friends in common and no idea who they are, but they seem to comment on some of the things you post and you are never sure if you should remove them or not.
Group V
This person is forever suggesting people for you to add to your friends list that you have no idea who they are. (Maybe that explains group U).
Group W
This person comments on everything you post and I mean every status update every picture.
Group X
This person is family, you can’t remove them because it will cause world war 3 but have to constantly hide them from the majority of your status updates.
Group Y
This person is the spoiler, they post every result of every match, race, tv soap etc. They forget that not everyone got up at 3am to watch the F1 and doesn’t want to know the result yet.
And last but not least is…….
Group Z
This person has known you for the majority of your life and will comment or tag you in anything from the past that may possibly be embarrassing.

You know we all have people from at least 10 of these groups on our friends lists and why? Because we live in hope that one day they will surprise us and post something different.  🙂

Things are slowly getting back to normal, whatever normal is.

As I said things are slowly getting back to normal,  Allan went off to cub camp last weekend with Ali, the pair of the had a great time, I’m never sure who is the biggest kid.

As I had been stuck indoors all weekend and the boys were on half term this week I decided we needed to go out or should I say I needed to go out, so we had a few day trips.

we took the boys and one of their friend Joe to leysdown the local seaside resort about ten mins drive away if you don't get stuck in traffic getting on the island.

Wednesday was our invicta arachnid meeting where we had a great talk by hazel from wildwood which is a nature park, the talk was on the dormouse and she brought one to show us. oh and we cleaned out in the raffle, we won £10 and this bag of goodies, not bad for £3 worth of tickets.

We had a lovely meal out at the local pub which is only a few mins crawl I mean walk home 🙂

All in all it has been a really nice relaxing week,  it really does make a change getting out and about again after not being able to go anywhere because of going back and forth to the hospital or clearing my dads flat or not being mobile because of my broken foot.
I have an appointment at the fracture clinic Tuesday and I am hoping they say I can take the air cast boot off officially, to be honest I have stopped wearing it indoors as I would rather put up with the slight pain then be clumping around with it, and I have never worn it at bedtime.

It’s now 3.36am Friday night/ Saturday morning, I have Darren my grandson here for the night as I babysit him most weekends and we are planning on going to a boot fair in the morning/later on so I had better try and get a couple of hours sleep.

I will sign off with a couple of silly pictures,  one when I was cutting Ali’s hair and decided to take a picture before I shaved the last bit off, like you do and a picture I found on my phone which Alex had taken of himself being silly

Something has gone right for a change.

One of the things I forgot to mention on catch up was the fact that we hadn’t got our choice for Alex’s senior school. In fact, we hadn’t got 2nd or 3rd choice either. I had immediately put in an appeal and put his name on the waiting list for the school we wanted which apart from being a good school with a grammar stream is also the closest to our house and to the boys primary school. The school he had been allocated was nearly 4 miles safe walk away from us. This meant we would not physically be able to get both boys to school on time without one waiting around for an hour and the same for after school. Thankfully we spoke to the boys head and Alex’s teacher and both were more than happy to give us a letter to support our appeal. Well, I got the phone call about an hour ago telling me that the school we wanted were happy to offer Alex a place in September and we had won our appeal without the need for a formal interview. Relieved doesn’t begin to explain how I feel.  Hopefully, things are starting to look up for us now.

So much to catch up on

I’ll be honest so much has gone on since last year that I’ve not been in the frame of mind to do anything for months. the run up to Christmas was hectic, between school activities, working, courses and the usual preparations
But Christmas itself was lovely. We spend half the day with my dad over for xmas dinner. Little did we know it would be the last. And then in the evening we had friends over with their little girls and we had a great time-sharing presents. Boxing day was the same. Hectic and a time for friends.  After a couple of false Alarms in the following week. My gorgeous grandson was born on new year’s day. I was so honoured to be there at his birth. Wow things are so different from the other end of things.  After that things went downhill for us.
The head gasket went on Allan’s car and it was declared deceased and of course just after xmas finances or lack of them meant that we couldn’t afford to fix or replace it. Ali got chicken pox and had spots everywhere so missed nearly two weeks of school and then at the beginning of Feb my dad wasn’t feeling well. So went home early after his usual visit in the morning. I spoke to him in the evening and he said he was feeling  a bit better. The next morning we hadn’t heard from him by 10am so went round the flat to find him collapsed on the floor. This resulted in him being taken to hospital. For the next 5 weeks I spent everyday bar three going back and forth to the main hospital in Medway which is about a half hour drive away. and then he was transferred to St Thomas’ hospital in London. So I spent another 3 weeks going back and forth to London, sadly the day before his birthday he passed away. During the whole time he was in hospital i was still having to go around his flat everyday to feed his fish and check mail etc. So three days before his funeral I am boxing stuff up as we had to clear the flat and I  trip over his mobility scooter and hurt my foot. Somehow after sitting down for an hour. I decided to man up and managed to drive home in the landrover.  The next day I was still in a lot of pain so off we went to the hospital to find out I had broken my foot in three places and cracked my heel.  So they put a cast on and told me to go back to the fracture clinic in ten days. So I ended up going to the funeral in my dad’s wheelchair. Thankfully after the ten days when I went back I had the choice, another cast for 6 weeks or an Air boot for 10 weeks. I chose the boot as I can at least take it off at night. As we arrived home I went to get out of the car and as I was getting my crutches out of the back of the car Allan shut the door on the car and caught my fingers in it.. resulting in a broken finger as well,  you have to laugh., anyway back to the boot.  At least  I take it off at night and every time I sit down although I’m not supposed to really. only to have a bath and at night after the first two weeks but of course I pay no attention to that lol . Unfortunately, it means I can’t do much in the house so we are sitting with boxes of my dads bits everywhere. Our bedroom is a store-room as I can’t get upstairs anyway (we are both sleeping on the sofa) and that’s about brought me up to date. I went back to my maths course on Monday afternoons last week  ( I’d  not been since Jan) Allan had to drop me off and pick me up as I can’t drive. But other than that ive not done anything else apart from numerous visits to solicitors to sort out my dad’s affairs with my brother. So that’s about it. Nothing else has gone on really.  So basically with the exception of Darren my grandson’s birth. This year sucks big time.
